I built multiple six and seven-figure online stores, starting some of them completely from scratch, and if I lost everything today, I could still start Drop Shipping and get results even while starting with $0. So in this video, if you’re starting from 0, I’m about to give you the same tools, strategies, and steps that work every time you’re starting from nothing.
Understanding the E-commerce Competition
Now, I don’t want to just gloss over the fact that when you decide to start selling online, you’re going to be competing with some big e-commerce brands and people with more experience than you. That’s just the truth. But what’s also the truth is that with all the products that are out there, there’s still more than enough opportunity for you to make money as long as you know what products people want to buy right now.
Finding the Right Product with Google Trends
Realistically, when you’re starting off with less money, you have less room for trial and error. So to find out what people are buying right now, you want to use Google Trends to check for trends that are happening or about to take off. This tool will actually show you when it’s time to start or stop selling products tied to a trend.
For example, if I search “winter,” you’re going to see that most people stop looking for winter-related products right around this time, so selling one wouldn’t really make sense as most consumers are not looking to buy these products right now. But if I search something like “spring,” you could clearly see that searches are just now starting to pick up, meaning shoppers are looking for spring-related products that can make their lives easier in some way.

Selling Problem-Solving Products
Now, once you have an idea of what trends are happening, that’s when you should focus on finding a problem-solving product for that trend. Let me be the first one to tell you that the days of coming into Drop Shipping and selling whatever product you think can work are over. These days, the products that you’re selling have to add some sort of benefit to the customer’s life if you really want to make sales right away.
With that being said, problem-solving products are in front of you every single day, whether you know it or not. You can literally find them by opening up TikTok or Facebook and scrolling through your “For You” page until you find one that is getting engagement and falls in line with the trend that you’re looking to sell.
Using AutoDS for Product Research
Truthfully, the more that you engage with the product ads that you’re seeing by liking, commenting, and even making it all the way to checkout, the more the algorithm is going to pick up on this and think of you as an engaged shopper. So they’re going to show you even more product options on your “For You” page, and one of those could easily be your next winner.
But if you want a quicker way to find products that you should choose, there’s a product research tool called AutoDS, where you can filter down by exactly what type of product you’re looking for, see the engagement it’s having from potential buyers, and choose the right product to sell.

Building Your Drop Shipping Store
Now, once you have chosen your product, step two is building your store. Like I said earlier, you’re going to be competing with some of the biggest sellers in the market, so creating a store that actually looks like something that you would be comfortable buying from today has to happen.
Yes, you do need a domain, you need the layout of a professional-looking store, and most importantly, you need a product added in. Five years ago, you could get away with a URL that ends in “myshopify.com” and store layouts that have thousands of different colors and popups, but if you try to pull that off today, I ask you that you’ll be sitting at $0.

Creating Sales-Driven Ads
With your Shopify store in the works, it is time to shift your focus on how you’re going to get traffic and sales to your store, which leads to step number three—creating sales-driven ads.
Before we head into that, I am giving out a giveaway today to give one of you the opportunity of getting on a free one-on-one consulting call with myself and my team to help you get the guidance that you need to start your Drop Shipping business.

Importance of a Strong Ad Strategy
If you want your Drop Shipping business to succeed, your ads have to grab attention and convince people to go to your store. Even if you have the best product in the entire world and a store that is ready to make sales, you will still not sell a single thing if no one is visiting your store.
A good ad should first target the right audience or persona by identifying a problem that they have or a solution that they would be looking for. From the start, you have to understand that one of the main reasons people buy products is to solve a problem.

Tapping into Emotions to Sell
Next, you want to tell a story that connects with emotions. Emotion is what sells. There are many different ways to highlight emotions—maybe you’re pushing a little fear, making the consumer feel that if they don’t buy your product, they’ll keep dealing with the problem. Maybe you’re leveraging FOMO (fear of missing out), making them feel that if they don’t buy today, they’ll miss out on an amazing opportunity.
Regardless of what it is, you just need to be able to tap into at least one strong emotion.
Clear Call to Action in Your Ads
Lastly, you want to end with a clear call to action like “Buy Now,” “Shop Now,” or “Click the Link Down Below.” This is crucial because every single person needs direction in life—even people watching ads need direction on what to do next.
At the end of your video, if you’re not telling them straight up what to do to get the problem-solving product that they desperately need, they will just continue to keep scrolling.

Making Ads with CapCut Commerce Pro
Now look, I know most of you watching this have probably never made an ad before, so to help you out, I found a platform called CapCut Commerce Pro that I left linked in my description for you.
With CapCut Commerce Pro, to start creating your ads, all you need to do is take the link of your competitor’s Shopify store and drop that in the URL section right here. Then, you’re able to choose the ad variation and the avatar voice that you want promoting your product.
Advertising Your Product Organically
Now, with your ads ready to go, this is when you’re going to move into step number four—advertising your product.
I’m showing you how to start Drop Shipping with no money, so the best way to do that is through organic marketing. And honestly, that’s just another way of saying that you’re going to use social media like a regular content creator.
Leveraging TikTok and Instagram for Sales
But the key difference is you’re going to be doing it with the intention to bring eyes to your product. To do that, you’re going to want to first make TikTok and Instagram pages for your store.
TikTok won’t let you add a link to your store until you hit around 1,000 followers, but Instagram lets you add a link to your bio right away. Linking these accounts makes it easier for your customers to find and buy your product.
Now, when it comes to posting, you want to post five videos a day showing off your product. You want to keep your captions simple with a couple of keywords and two to three hashtags that match your product or trends.
